Improviser • Writer • Maker • Performer
I improvise shows in many different styles and genres. I've toured to twenty-something countries in five continents, teaching and performing. I designed four levels of curriculum for Hoopla, the UK's largest improv school. My book The Improviser's Way, A Longform Workbook is published by Nick Hern Books. I play (and guest) with lots of companies including Project2 and was a member of The Maydays 2004-2022. I was in the first virtual reality improv show and continue to perform both in theatres and in the digital space.
I make and/or perform theatre shows in different genres.
I write and perform immersive theatre. I've been working with Fando, Storyfutures, CreativeXR, Flipside and Bristol Improv Theatre for the past few years to make augmented and virtual reality and multi-platform work that is written or part-improvised.
I write in many mediums which have included musical theatre, a textbook on improvisation, songs for children's radio, a web series, augmented and virtual reality shows and games, the board game Cards Against Humanity and dramaturgy for The Lasters, a concept album by Fred Deakin. I recently won Best Script Award's Feature Script Grand Prix and am nominated for Best Feature Film at Golden Art Film Academy.
