WrongCom is an improvised romantic comedy starring Edmund Fargher and Katy Schutte. They take an existing film title from the audience - something without much of a romantic storyline - and turn it into a romantic comedy. Previous rewrites have included Alien, Terminator2, Existenz, Jaws and Jurassic Park. It's a pretty silly show, drawing not only on years of world class improv experience but using techniques from physical theatre and work with an intimacy director. WrongCom made its debut at the Hoopla Marathon and was immediately moved to the main weekend show. WrongCom made its first international appearance to a sold out audience at IMPRO Amsterdam.
Ed and Katy are both members of The Maydays (founded in 2004). They are cowriters on sitcom Sideliners and regularly perform WrongCom and other shows at Hoopla in London. Ed toured with Katy on her acclaimed (scripted) folk horror show Let's Summon Demons from 2018-19. The duo are embroiled in a custard-pie-fight bit show that has lasted over three years.

[The] Jurassic Park show was one of the loveliest things I saw of all the shows I watched. You two play amazing together! Thanks a lot for this unforgettable Late Night Show." I loved the chemistry you two had on stage, it's great to see two excellent improvisers taking something they geek about and successfully translate it into a wonderful piece of theatre." |
Edmund and Katy transform the movies we all know and love into blockbuster romcoms on stage. They have a great arsenal of believable characters and they let you experience your favourite movies in a whole different way. Recommended!" |
